Sikkim launches open government data portal-THE HINDU-11-03-2020

Sikkim on Saturday claimed to become the first state in India to have an open government data portal. Lok Sabha MP, P D Rai launched the open government data portal ‘Sikkim. Data. Speaking on the occasion Rai congratulated the Information Technology Department, Government of Sikkim and NIC team from Delhi for their effort.

Sikkim Co-operative Union Chairperson Ganesh Rai was also present at the launch. On the open government data portal, the data produced or commissioned by the government or government controlled entities can be freely used, reused and redistributed by anyone.
